This pointillist ink drawing of a caribou was commissioned by a woman who wished to commemorate an important moment in the life of dear friend.
Her friend is Sayisi Dene and is one of the trustees for the compensation the people of her community were recently granted. I am deeply honoured to have been asked to create such a beautiful gift in acknowledgment of a pivotal moment in someone's life.
This work has taken me about six hours so far and there are many more to go! I predict that by the time it is totally finished it will have taken me twelve to fifteen hours.
