CURATORIAL ABSTRACT:
Reimagining the traditional flat canvas, these works invite the viewer to gaze beyond the two-dimensional plane and to question the physical nature of the art objects themselves. Both artists hail from the prairies, where any slight incline or any disturbance on the horizon is magnified and exaggerated. These playful, nuanced experiments with depth and perspective both echo and push against the reality of existing in a landscape that is a seemingly endless plain/plane.
