About The Uniter
The Uniter is a newspaper that provides a vehicle for University of Winnipeg students and the surrounding community to learn about and participate in the field of journalism. A resource for students and the community, we amplify the questions and perspectives of those who live, visit, and study in Winnipeg’s popular neighbourhoods. We provide campus, local and national news from a variety of perspectives with an emphasis on social consciousness, working with progressive and community-based businesses and focusing on the interests of the readership.
The Uniter online reaches out not only to our 10,000 students but to community members throughout Winnipeg. The print version reaches both on-campus and 70 locations in the the urban core including coffee shops, grocery stores, bus stations and other meeting points in Corydon, Osborne Village, The Exchange District, Sherbrook and Wolseley, the University of Winnipeg, the University of Manitoba and Red River College campus blocks, the greater downtown, St. Boniface, and Winnipeg North.
