On, October 19th, 2018 #RisingYouth Community Service Grants and TakingITGlobal are hosting an exciting event here in Winnipeg, and the event is FREE for youth to attend!
STAND UP, STAND OUT, STAND TALL! is a full afternoon of inspiring workshops and activities encouraging youth to STAND UP for what they believe in, STAND OUT from the crowd, and to STAND TALL with confidence! Youth will be able attend a series of fun, motivating, and inspirational talks/activities facilitated by local community role models and will hear how community volunteerism has made a difference in each of their lives. The entire day will be followed by a free dinner and STAND UP comedy show!
WHY should youth take part in this awesome event?
To empower youth to take an active role in their communities and enable them to apply for grant money that will be approved the SAME DAY! Our grant application process is extremely accessible and the application takes about 5 minutes to complete online, the youth will have access to on site supports to guide them through the application.

HOW TO NOMINATE A YOUTH: If you have a youth 15+ you’d like to nominate for this exciting day of empowerment, please send a list of their names and emails to [email protected] . Please ensure you RSVP to confirm attendance.

WHEN is the event?
Friday October 19th; doors open at noon, the event will run until 6:30PM.
Refreshments will be provided in the afternoon, and dinner will be served at the comedy show. .
