Van der Pop's Winnipeg Saturday brunch summit will be featured panel conversations among our curated selection of thought-leaders in the cannabis space. Event attendees will be provided light “brunch” themed catering as well as tea & coffee, fresh juices and boxed water. 

Following the panel Van der Pop will host a reception to allow for networking and relationship-building.

Dr. Carlen Costa
Carlen Costa is a Sexologist, Relationship Psychotherapist & The Everyday Goddess. She empowers women to embody an unapologetically passionate lifestyle through her teachings in intimacy, sexuality, sensuality, self-worth, body-image and, relationships. Carlen encourages women to become sassy, sexy and switched on, through a holistic approach in her private practice, speaking nation-wide and, in her growing women's only group, The Everyday Goddess gang. Carlen is also the founder of The Goddess Foundation, which seeks to fund initiatives by women, for women, across Canada. 

Odessa Paloma Parker
Odessa Paloma Parker is a Toronto-based style expert and proud cannabis advocate. As the contributing fashion editor at Canada's national newspaper, The Globe and Mail, she has travelled the world to cover fashion events and style editorial photo shoots. And in the year leading up to Canada's recreational cannabis legalization date, she was the head of content at Hiku Brands, bringing de-stigmatizing stories and studies surrounding consumption to life. Odessa is the co-founder of Vintage Crawl Toronto – a city-wide shopping event now in its 5th year – and she also works with private clients to invigorate their sense of sartorial self-expression.

Ashleigh Brown
Ashleigh Brown is a medical cannabis patient and passionate advocate for the rights and education of her fellow Canadian Cannabis patients. In 2017, still a new patient herself, she founded a social media community alongside a handful of other patients. This community, named SheCann, was created with the intention of providing information, resources and support to prospective and existing ACMPR patients. Although it is geared towards women, SheCann also welcomes supportive and respectful men, and members of industry, including legal clinics and Licensed Producers. SheCann’s primary goal is to create a compassionate space for patients to speak openly about their journeys as cannabis patients.

Ashleigh works alongside advocacy groups like CFAMM (Canadians for Fair Access to Medical Marijuana) to advocate for accessible and affordable access to medical cannabis. She is a member of Cannabis Canada’s Patient Advocacy Committee, and has recently joined the Strainprint Technologies team as their Community Manager and Patient Liaison. 

Most importantly, Ashleigh is a mother to 2, stepmother to 3, and a grandmother. She is a lifelong Winnipegger.
