Allison Au is an award-winning saxophonist, composer and arranger. Growing up in Toronto, she was captivated by the unhinged freedom of jazz, which, in combination with elements of classical, hip-hop, and Latin music, influences Au’s soulful sound today. Leader of the Allison Au Quartet, Au’s debut album, The Sky Was Pale Blue, Then Grey, earned a Juno nomination in 2013, and her sophomore album, Forest Grove, won the Juno For Best Jazz Album of the Year: Group in 2016.
