Investigations into motion capture

Bushland Series at cre8ery

Patrick Treacy’s Bushland Series is the latest exhibit at the cre8ery gallery (125 Adelaide St.). Treacy’s work depicts imagined or non-existent places that manifest in dreamy, painted landscapes. Calling all green thumbs

Whether you’re a houseplant enthusiast or a seasoned gardener, the Winnipeg Home + Garden Show promises exciting panels of industry experts, as well as workshops and exhibits. WCD presents in between here and now

For their first full ensemble work since the COVID-19 pandemic, Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers will perform artistic director Jolene Bailie’s critically acclaimed work in between here and now. Decolonizing Lens: Tia and Piujuq

The Winnipeg Art Gallery (300 Memorial Blvd.) is hosting an in-person and virtual screening of Tia and Piujuq on March 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. The film chronicles the friendship of Tia, a young Syrian girl, and Piujuq, an Inuk girl, who meet through a magical portal that takes Tia to Igloolik. Apply for Plug-In ICA’s Summer Institute

Applications have now opened for the Plug-In Institute of Contemporary Art’s (Plug-In ICA) Summer Insitute 2022, a free, multidisciplinary artist research program. Running from Aug. 8 to 19, this year’s Summer Institute is led by artist KC Adams around the theme of Water Knowledge.
