Around the time of the American Revolution (1774-1783), many of our ancestors stayed loyal to the Crown and, as a result, were driven out of the 13 Colonies into what is now Canada. It's estimated that one in ten Canadians have a Loyalist ancestor. Are you one of those descendants? Do you have an interest in Canadian history? Join us! Meetings are open to all (in person or virtually), followed by an educational presentation.
Our next meeting of the Manitoba Branch of the United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada will be held at the Manitoba Genealogical Society (Unit E – 1045 St. James Street) on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 10:30 am.
Following the meeting, Mary Steinhoff, UE, will be presenting "Three Loyalist Cousins Who Helped Shape Winnipeg in the Early 20th Century."
