Martha Street Studio is pleased to present Keeping Time, a duo exhibition by Laura Peturson (ON) and Andrew Ackerman (ON).

Through narrative imagery referencing archetypes of children’s literature, Keeping Time captures the peculiar experience of time as a state of simultaneous expansion and contraction in this large-scale print-based installation. Inspired by the artists’ experience as parents, Keeping Time collages figures, flora and fauna, together with remnants of play forts and structures made by children. Existing in multiple temporal instances simultaneously, these remnants reference a specific moment between childhood and impending adolescence, exploring the constant and cyclical nature of the environment.
