CHROMEO

The Montreal duo known as Chromeo recently dropped their third album, Business Casual. The electrofunk ‘80s pop sound is what one could imagine two funkadelic robots would play while making freaky metal love. The synth-heavy sound follows in the “fancy footwork” of their sophomore CD, though no tracks particularly jump out from the rest. It instead delivers a constant talkbox-y, up-tempo sound even during its ballads. Lead singer Dave 1’s trademark vocals are broken up in a duet from Beyoncé’s younger sister Solange in When the Night Falls and a shoutout to their French roots in J’ai claqué la porte. Arrive at your next office party with Business Casual and some wine coolers in hand and it’s bound to get sexy.
