Beached Out/The Reference Desk

Two tracks from two bands you need to know on beautiful yellow vinyl? Kingston, Ontario’s Beached Out take a more sincere route than a lot of dream garage popsters (less Beach House, more Lou Barlow + Kim Deal) and the two tracks featured here, “Tiny War” and “Bad Breaks” are blistering little treasures from the husband/wife duo. With a few slips and stumbles balanced by super clean production/mixing, it’s kind of the best. The other side, from Halifax trio The Reference Desk, features the tiny fuzz of “Try Not/Try To” and “When You Drown” - which is a definite Murderecords love letter. Check the 7” bins for this one - you’ll smile.
