Transcona Hi Neighbour Festival

The Transcona Hi Neighbour Festival is a non-profit organization made up of a volunteer Board of Directors. We have planned and executed an annual community festival for the past 54 years held in Transcona on the first weekend of June. Our mission is to serve and celebrate community, connect people, strengthen families and promote inclusion, diversity, education and information.
Our organization relies solely on sponsorship by businesses, fundraising and donations from the community. Our festival will be held June 7, 8 and 9, 2019 and we are proud to support inclusion regardless of ethnicity, religion, culture, age or economic position. We are the largest community festival in the City of Winnipeg.
Our focus is to provide a community event which includes live children’s entertainment such as clowns, face painting, balloon artistry, glitter tattoos, numerous mascots and Disney princesses, amusement rides, games, food vendors, a parade, free senior’s bingo, pancake breakfast, hot dog lunch, assisting with community endeavors such as the food bank, restoration of Scout and Cub hall, etc. and providing public information booths promoting family health, wellness, safety, finances, etc.  Check our website to stay up to date on live free entertainment.

Parade is held on Saturday, June 9 beginning at 11am.  It will take place on Regent Ave eastbound from Brewster St ending at Wayota St.
