Join Rami Ismail in the latest installment of New Media Manitoba's video game speaker series as he breaks down his business strategies and experience in game creation.

Rami is one of the most influential voices in the video game industry today.  A recent recipient of Indiecade’s Game Changer Award, and alumni of Forbes influential 30 under 30 List, Rami is a tireless advocate for art and industry of independent gaming - and gaming in general for that matter.

Rami formed Vlambeer in 2010 with developer Jan Willem in 2010 after they dropped out of game design university. They teamed up to fully develop an idea they had for a game prototype. With no resources, space or money, they released Radical Fishing as a way to make rent and eat something other than Ramen Noodles. Shortly after their original prototype, Crates from Hell, (now renamed Super Crate Box) was released to overwhelming success. They eventually earned an Independent Games Festival Finalist award in the Excellence in Design category. Vlambeer has just released Nuclear Throne , its biggest and most ambitious game yet.

If running a successful game studio wasn't enough Rami also travels the world speaking about game development and culture. New Media Manitoba is so happy to be able to have Rami in to speak with the local community. Rami will be talking all about Vlambeer’s history, it’s challenges and successes as well as the video game industry and community as a whole.  Rami has a ton to share; it will be a really fun and informative evening.
