A series of boldly coloured works created in response to the deafening flood of sensory and emotional overload that is drowning out our daily lives via social media and wireless communications. Through the use of nostalgic techniques and pastoral imagery Lori explores the idea of simpler times through themes of comfort, companionship, community, protection and rural life. Retreating to the past in order to ponder the future; she looks inward to examine her own experiences and beliefs in an attempt to find harmony and balance in today’s world of increasing volume, conflicting points of view, alternative facts and information-noise.
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 11AM to 5PM
