    After 10 years of planning, the University of Winnipeg is introducing Manitoba’s first Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s in Disability Studies degree program. The program, which is expected to begin accepting students in the fall term of 2010, will be a joint venture with Red River College (RRC).

  • New directors, new possibilities

    While many students took time to unwind on the weekend after returning to classes for the winter semester, the University of Winnipeg Students’ Association (UWSA) board of directors was hard at work. The board members, including new directors elected in November’s by-elections, spent their Saturday in an orientation to familiarize themselves with their roles.

    Once completed, the sculpture outside the Ellice Street doors of Lockhart Hall will add a new aesthetic dimension to the University of Winnipeg’s campus. The project, funded by a $150,000 grant from the Winnipeg Arts Council as part of the University of Winnipeg Gateway and Transit Project, is expected to be completed in a couple of weeks.
